Today we are telling the tale of Bella, formerly known as Lucy. This adorable gray-and-white girl was adopted by her cat mama, Toni, on the Fourth of July 2017. Read on to hear about this cute little firecracker!
When did you adopt Bella?
July 4, 2017.
How old was Bella when you adopted her, and how old is she now?
Bella was around 13 weeks old when she was adopted, and now she is about 2-and-a-half years old.
What motivated you to adopt?
I wanted someone to spoil and love!
Did you have pets previously?
We have had guinea pigs.
How did you hear about/decide to adopt from Karma Cat + Zen Dog Rescue Society?
I found KCZD online. I actually had called about another cat, but she already had an interested adopter. I was told about Bella and fell in love with her pictures.
Describe when you first met Bella and how you knew she was the right pet for you.
We went to meet her at the PetSmart, she was so cute but shy!

Describe bringing Bella home – how did the adjustment period go?
She did really well once we brought her home. We kept her in our large master bathroom for a couple of days just to settle.
If applicable, describe any personality/behavior changes from since you brought Bella home, to now.
She has grown into a beautiful girl.
How would you describe Bella’s personality?
She is the kind of cat that either wants all of your attention, or wants to do her own thing. You get all of her love when she’s hungry.
Please describe any silly/quirky traits Bella has.
I love when I’m out and come home she is in the window all excited, and then right at the front door when I open it. She also loves toys; we buy her a lot and she plays with everything.
Please provide any additional stories or information that you’d like to tell us about Bella.
Everyone we spoke to or dealt with at Karma Cat + Zen Dog was wonderful. We are so in love with Bella and couldn’t imagine life without her.
