It’s our Birthday!
Today, March 15, 2016 marks our 6th birthday!
From 18 cats and 18 kittens in a neighbor’s backyard to 795 cats and dogs adopted into loving forever homes!
The past 6 years have been challenging, rewarding, fun, heartbreaking but most of all gratifying because we have made a difference in so many lives. Cats, dogs and humans. The dedicated team of volunteers makes sure our animals are placed in loving homes, cared for multiple times a day, and shared across social media sites … at the same time raising funds via fund raisers and grant applications so that we can purchase great food and provide the best medical care.
We have never given up on the animals we have taken in – each one of them a unique and beautiful soul. Some need just days to relax and find their new homes, others may take months or even years. We are committed to them 100%.
It’s hard to summarize all the feelings, wins, and losses from the past 6 years. It’s overwhelming, truly! So, I’ll keep this short and sweet with one big THANK YOU!

The Paws for Celebration dinner and silent auction event has become a tradition for KCZD and we hope to celebrate with you this year – please consider joining us! It’s a fun evening of great food, dancing, a professional photo booth and a diverse silent auction list.
