Happy Holidays
Happy holidays to all our adopters, volunteers, donors and supporters. Your support is responsible for 23 (TWENTY THREE) adoptions (so far) in December 2016! This is a record month for us!! We are up to 137 adoptions so far for the calendar year – amazing! We truly couldn’t do it without all of you.
Are you wondering who the handsome kitty is gracing the cover of our 2016 holiday card? That’s Indy! We took him from a local shelter in February of this year. He’s approximately 10 years young and the ultimate people-cat. I mean he absolutely adores people. He will cuddle you, watch TV with you, and keep your arm warm while you work at your desk. So, why is Indy still looking for a forever home? Well … he’s just not a fan of other cats. He is also in the very beginning stages of kidney disease.
But we aren’t giving up on finding this sweet boy a home. Indy wants to be your one-and-only while eating his special dry food that keeps his kidneys happy. And he will show how grateful he is with purrs, headbutts and cuddles.
I am fostering Indy in my spare room. He is truly one of the sweetest cats I have met (and the list is long … literally over 950 Karma Cats). There is something very special about being loved by a senior cat. It’s a true-blue love that everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.
Though your time with Indy may be shorter than with some of our other adoptable cats, I can promise you that it will be filled with a love and thankfulness like no other. And, yes, your heart can handle it – you are stronger than you think. I know I sound super mushy (and for those of you that know me – this is a big shift) but this cat just gives me all the feels and I really want to see him in a forever home getting all the attention he deserves. Consider this my special Holiday wish.
