Giving Tuesday 2024

A Purr-fect Opportunity to Save Lives

Every cat deserves a chance to live a healthy, happy life. This Giving Tuesday (12/3/24), you can make that possible for kittens and cats in need. Your support enables us to rescue, heal, and find loving homes for cats while funding critical programs like trap-neuter-return and lifesaving medical care. Every dollar you give helps provide food, vaccines, medications, and so much more. 💖

Ever wonder what it takes to save a kitten from panleukopenia? 💔

It’s a tough battle, but with the right care – and support from people like YOU – miracles happen every day.

Panleukopenia: A Battle for Survival

Panleukopenia – often called “feline distemper” – is one of the most severe illnesses a kitten can face. Caused by the feline parvovirus, it attacks the immune system and digestive tract, leading to symptoms like vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, and exhaustion. For kittens, this virus can be deadly without urgent care. But thanks to generous supporters like you, we’ve been able to turn heartbreak into hope for kittens fighting this disease.

Join us in making an impact this Giving Tuesday (12/3/24) because together, we can change lives, one paw at a time!

Meet Brock: Tiny Warrior

When Brock arrived at Karma Cat Rescue Society, he was fighting for his life against panleukopenia. This brave little kitten required round-the-clock care, specialized treatments, and an abundance of love. It wasn’t easy, but with your help, Brock beat the odds and made a full recovery. Today, he’s thriving and enjoying his second chance at life.

Reef & Chum: The Brave Brothers

Reef and Chum came to us as tiny, fragile kittens battling the same devastating virus. Their survival required quick action, expert medical care, and nurturing foster support. Thanks to your generosity, these brothers not only survived but thrived. They’re now healthy, happy, and living in their forever homes.

Our foster and medical teams really went above and beyond for these boys along with mama Coral and baby Brock.

Coral: Heading Home

Mama Coral came to us with four babies: Reef, Chum, Riptide and Oceana. She knew her babies were sick and she stopped letting them nurse after just 4 days. With quick actions we were able to intervene to save Reef and Chum; sadly Riptide and Oceana were just too weak to fight off the panleuk. Rescue is really hard some days 🙁

Mama Coral showed her gratitude by settling into a foster home and healing herself. This is her adoption pic and we couldn’t be happier to see this sweet lady in a fantastic home.

Behind every success story like mama Coral and babies Brock, Reef, and Chum are people like YOU – donors who care enough to make a difference. 🐾💕
